Q & A for this product
1, What's the difference between the Freewheel and Cassette Motor?
A: The main difference is where the ratcheting "coasting" mechanism is located.
A freewheel has the ratcheting mechanism built directly into the gear cluster which is one single piece that screws directly onto threaded wheel hubs.
The inner ratcheting mechanism which let you coast and pedal backward is inside the gear cluster itself.
Usually limited to single to 7 or occasionally 8 gears.
A cassette uses separate gears (individual metal rings or smaller " spiders" holding multiple rings) that slide into a splined "freehub" body, which is built into the wheel itself.
The ratcheting mechanism and bearings are built directly into the bike's wheel hub. A single threaded lockring secure the gears.
It is used on all modern performance, mountain, and road bikes. Can accommodate 7- 13 distinct gears for wider, more efficient range.
2, How fast can a 1000w, 1500w, 2000w fat tire electric bike kit go?
A: With 26" wheel, for a normal weight (70-75kgs) person ride on city street, 1000w can go about 45km/h, 1500w can go about 50km/h and 2000w can go about 60-65km/h.
3, How long the range is?
A, The range depends on the battery, also other factors such as terrain, rider weight, and riding style. And the kit does not include a battery. We have ebike batteries to work with our kits, you can check our battery collection to choose it.
4, What battery should i choose for the ebike kit?
A, For 1000w, you can choose the battery with 30A BMS, we recommend you the Hailong battery. For 1500w, you can choose the battery with 35A or more than 35A BMS, we would recommend you the down tube style or the triangle battery; For 2000w, you can choose the battery with 45A or 50A BMS battery, we recommend you the downtube style battery and block shape battery.
5, How do i know if the ebike kit fits my bike or not.
A, to determine if the ebike kit fits your bike or not, you need to check two sizes: a, your bike's wheel size and see if the ebike kit has your bike's same wheel size; b, the rear and front dropout of your bike and see if the dropout size fits. Please check the article about how to measure the wheel size and dropout of a bike.
6, Where the ebike kit ship from and how long the delivery takes?
A, it is shipped from China by air. It takes about 10-15 business days delivery normally.
7, Do i need to pay import tax?
A, to US, UK, EU, AU, normally no import tax. But to Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway, it normally need to pay import tax. For more information about the import tax, please check our shipment & delivery and customs & import tax.
